OVERVIEW - OZ Optics’ Foresight™
Distributed sensing along the entire fibre length
OZ Optics’ Foresight™ series of Fiber Optic Distributed Strain and Temperature Sensors (DSTS) uses Brillouin scattering in optical fibres to measure changes in both strain and temperature along the length of a sensing fibre.
A sensing cable based on standard telecom single-mode fibre can be deployed along pipelines or embedded in structures. This allows operators to detect where strain or temperature changes occur and address potential failures before they happen.
This technology is widely used in oil & gas pipelines, civil structures, and long-distance infrastructure monitoring applications.
